The Important Stuff
- A certified teacher with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education will be teaching your child.
- The preschool curriculum is well organized and is based on suggestions specific to preschool-aged children by the Utah State Office of Education.
- Class sizes are small so each child gets one on one attention.
- Writing samples, art projects and other forms of each child's work are gathered throughout the year to create individual portfolios for each preschool student, showing progress and development.
- Preschool is held in a spacious, well-lit basement room, designed as a professional classroom.
Class Information
Our preschool year runs from September to May and follows the Nebo School District calendar with some adjustments to the calendar here and there.
KINDERGARTEN PREP FOR STUDENTS AGE 4. Students must turn 4 before September 1 of the current school year to be eligible.
Class will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week. Class begins at 9:15 a.m. and ends at 11:45 a.m.
Curriculum
The preschool curriculum is based on the Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines found in the Utah State Core Curriculum. These guidelines are required in all Utah public schools, but are optional in the preschool setting. These guidelines are followed to help promote an early love of learning as well as promote kindergarten readiness in an atmosphere designed for social play and interaction.
The curriculum includes: weekly themes, creative art experiences, phonemic awareness and letter recognition, early writing skills, early reading skills, early math skills including patterning, graphing, addition and subtraction, social and emotional development, science exploration, and hands on, interactive learning centers, as well as a number of field trips throughout the school year.
Class size is limited to twelve students. This is below the Utah state requirements for teacher to student ratio. This allows the ability to work individually with each student throughout the week.

Tuition
KINDERGARTEN PREP $120/MONTH
Tuition is based on the entire school year and is broken down into monthly payments. Tuition is $120.00, regardless of how many preschool days there are in each month. Some months have more preschool days, some have fewer (ie; Fall Break, Christmas Break, Spring Break). Also, there are rare occasions when preschool may be cancelled for personal reasons. Monthly tuition may or may not be pro-rated if several days are missed. There are no make-up days for missed days.
A one-time, non-refundable registration deposit of $50.00 is due at the time of registration to secure your child's spot and also goes toward supplies for each preschool student.
